Gregory Butler (died September 18, 2017), secretly known as the Babyface Killer, was the husband and co-conspirator of Stephanie Butler. He was a physician, who was secretly having an affair with Lori Spengler.
Biography[]
At some point in time, Gregory married Stephanie, earned his medical degree, and became a physician.
Unbeknownst to Stephanie, Gregory was having an affair with Nurse Lori Spengler. After Stephanie found out, she plotted to kill lori while Gregory planned to save loris life by faking her death.
On September 18, 2017, Gregory suited up as the Babyface Killer to commit the murder, which he succeeded in multiple times. However, due to Tree Gelbman resetting the day, all of his murders were undone. In the final loop, Tree realized Gregory was the Babyface Killer and confronted him, in costume, in the hallway as she was bringing Lori to safety. Tree held him at gunpoint and reveals to Lori the alleged reason why he was after her. He congratulated her on discovering this and questioned who she was. Tree heard sirens in the distance and ensured him he would go to prison for his crimes. However, he revealed that they overlooked one detail, at which point Stephanie arrived behind Tree and Lori and revealed her role in the scheme. She shot Lori and Gregory charged Tree, knocking her down and knocking her gun away. Stephanie retrieved Tree's gun and ordered Gregory to kill her. Once he gained the upper hand on Tree, Stephanie asked him if he wanted to do the honors and gave Gregory the gun to finish her off. However, he turned on her and shot her instead, stating that he wanted a divorce all along. Gregory chased Tree and tried to kill her until she managed to turn on a magnetic machine, which pinned him down. She then let go of the screwdriver she was holding and allowed it to be pulled into the Gregory, stabbing and killing him.[1]

- Tree had never been Gregory's target; he did not even know she studies in Bayfield. He attempted to kill Tree (twice) only when she witnessed His wife’s death and obviously only tried to keep Lori alive without his wife knowing about it.
Behind the scenes[]
- At one point, the writers had intended to make Gregory and Lori both the killers of the first film. However, they decided to use only Lori and the idea of having Gregory as the killer was reused for this film.[citation needed]
