The films were released in the American English language, so it is only just that our standard is the American English language as well. Some exceptions may be applied.

Grammar

Grammar is a crucial part in the identity of a sentence. One small change may drastically alter the idea of the whole sentence.

Punctuation marks

• When dealing with phrases, punctuations should always come after the quotation mark, similar to the British English language.
• As to not be confused, when dealing with quotes in sentence form, punctuations should come before the quotation mark.

Example

INCORRECT He said to "get the book." He said, "Get the book".

CORRECT He said to "get the book". He said, "Get the book."

Possession

When making possessive forms of singular and proper nouns ending with s, append 's at the end.

Example

INCORRECT Carter Davis'

CORRECT Carter Davis's

Retelling events

• When retelling events, past tense should be used whenever possible.

Example

INCORRECT He takes the book out of his bag and throws it away.

CORRECT He took the book out of his bag and threw it away.
