Lori Spengler (day of death: September 18, 2017) was a college student at Bayfield University, where she took up nursing at Bayfield University Hospital. She was the roommate of Tree Gelbman, who initially appeared to be kind and sweet, before it was revealed that she was Tree's psychotic killer all along, wearing a Bayfield Baby mask as the Babyface Killer. Her motive to kill Tree was because, she was upset that Tree had an affair with Gregory Butler when Lori also liked him.[1]
After she gets defeated by Tree in a fight, she dies.
Biography
Lori Spengler is a student at Bayfield University and is the roommate of Tree Gelbman. Lori also works at the hospital as a nurse, where she is having an affair with Dr. Gregory Butler, who is married to Stephanie Butler. Tree has been awful to her (as she admits during their final confrontation). At some point, Lori discovers that Tree is also having an affair with Gregory. Lori grows jealous of Gregory choosing Tree over her and plots to kill her.
On September 18, 2017, Tree's birthday, Lori poisons a birthday cupcake, but takes matters into her own hands when Tree refuses to eat it. Lori suits up in the Bayfield Baby mask and murders Tree. As a way out, Lori places the Babyface costume on serial killer John Tombs, hoping he would look responsible. However, Tree becomes stuck in the time loop, leading to the day being reset each time she is killed. In one of the loops, Tree believes he is the Babyface Killer and stops him, leading her to believe the loop is over. However, once home, she eats the poisoned cupcake and wakes up on Monday the 18th once more. She returns to her room with Lori to pack her things, only to realize that Lori is the true Babyface Killer. She confronts Lori, who eventually admits that it is true. Lori and Tree fight until Tree manages to shove the poisoned cupcake into Lori's mouth and then kicks her from the window, killing her.[1]
Legacy
After her death, Lori is only remembered for trying to kill Tree.
Personality
Lori is a sweet and caring individual, in high contrast to most of her fellow sorority sisters. However, this is a facade to hide her true psychotic and murderous nature. In secret, Lori is a highly jealous and mentally unstable person, willing to kill her friend, Tree, due to her jealousy.
